Recently, I have found tasks that used to vex me are now therapeutic. This includes folding clothes and making the bed. Taking the time to make sure everything lines up perfectly makes me feel great. Washing the dishes easily tops both of those. This is the only activity in the world where nobody will hover over you to correct your technique or show you a better way. Obviously, when I am in the middle of a relaxing dish washing session, there is not a soul around. That’s probably because nobody wants to stand too close and inherit the task. I am such a catch.
