I remember seeing LRG print ads in magazines back then but could never find their products in retail shops. It was the best feeling when I did find a shop that carried LRG. The hoodies were always heavyweight and the tees had that premium and thick yet soft feel. I was drawn towards the concepts, well executed design, and clever messages. At the time, I had not seen a lot of forward thinking design that was so prominent on apparel. Basically, love at first sight. It was evident that thought and time were put into each and every individual piece. The line stood apart from the other brands at the time that had mostly boring logo tees. To this day, no other lifestyle brand has the broad appeal Lifted Research Group has had since day one. From the younger kids who skateboard to the twenty-something year old music producer and every other person in between.

The attention to detail is what sparked my interest and desire to explore the brand. Think of hidden compartments, extra wide draw cords, and huge embroidered hits. Risk taking and sourcing high quality vendors and hardware are subtleties loyal brand supporters notice and appreciate.
